Welcome to the CLAWs wiki!

CLAWs is the tabletop gaming society of the University of Cape Town. It was established in 1989, and is still not dead.

Come to our weekly games evening -- Wednesdays from 18:00 to 23:00 in Room L in the R.W. James (physics) building). We always have a wide selection of boardgames, card games and RPGs available.

We like to play various tabletop roleplaying games, boardgames (like Arkham Horror, not like Monopoly) and card games (both collectible and non-). Wargaming has also been part of our portfolio. We run once-off theatre-style live-action roleplaying games (LARPs), most of which have been written by members of the local community, aiming to have at least one a month. We also occasionally organise KAOS, a fun game of stalking and mock-assassination.

Twice a year we produce an issue of CLAWmarks, our society magazine -- it is made by members for members, usually at the last possible minute. Every August we run Dragonfire, South Africa's oldest roleplaying convention.
