KAOS2002 @ KAOS

Final Update ( probably )

The damn thing lost my last update. Oh well. As you all know, KAOS is almost at an end. The present survivors as of 3 o'clock today from the first round are Sean, Sed and Steve. The final contestants from the second round as of the same time are Stuart, Alex and Pete.

Now for the fun part. You're all fucking OUTLAWS as of now. Safe areas are still available to you, but otherwise its a free for all. If you are still alive at 12 am tomorrow, come to the marshalls and we will inform you about the final shootout.

So carry on being paranoid little bastards and may the Saint of Killers be with you.

Second update

Hallo everyone,

After the initial bloodbath of the first day and the second and third, there are only 4 players left in the first KAOS round.These people are: Keightley, Cassandra, Sean, Sed and Steven. The other thing that happened today was the start of the second round of KAOS , comprising mostly of people that pegged in the first round and Simon and Ian becoming marshals. This time round there was a lot less assasinations which will mean less updates on the Obituary list but also a lot more interesting weapons seeing that there are a lot more credits hidden around campus this time.

Oh, and before I forget: Congratulations to Mike Dewar, who killed one of the special targets: Jessica Tiffin

First Update

Hallo Everyone

First Update:
Mike Dewar and Adam Jorgensen are now marshals. They join Candice, Andrea and Marsha in this portfolio.

From Tuesday some of the civilians as well as marshals will except bribes for pieces of information as well as where to fond more credits.

There is also a few rules clarifications and changes I should mention. (Effective as from tomorrow)
If you run out of targets you can kill your targets targets.

Witnesses include all informants, sources assassins marshals, and any civilian reporting seeing an assassin or any civilian killing a player.

To find out who of the civilians are sources or informants, just ask around!

The Obituaries section has also been updated.

Introduction:

Next week will be K.A.O.S 2002. (From moday,16 September to Frday,20 September)

Breaking with tradition there will be no weapons registration before the commencement of the game. It will only start after the start of the game, and a standard Weapon will be issued to each player. To attain K.A.O.S. credits you will either have to 1.) Kill one of your targets and receive payment from you boss or 2.) Search for credits around campus. Clues on how to get credits will be issued to all the players individually. With K.A.O.S. credits you will then be able to register other weapons or buy information from one of the sources.

General:

K.A.O.S. is an exercise in stalking people and killing them with fake weapons.

The Goal:

Kill as many legitimate targets as possible. Avoid being killed.

A legitimate target target is:

· Anyone you have been assigned to kill.

· Anyone who has been assigned to kill you.

· Anyone you catch performing an asassination of their own.

· Anyone who has been outlawed or is a special target

Game Mechanics

How killing works:

At the start of the game you will be given a profile of your first target as an assassin. This profile will provide you with all the necessary information and a weapon to begin your assignment. Each assassin will be assigned two targets. You will NOT know who is attempting to assassinate you, since you will only be assigned new targets if and only if both your targets are eliminated. Reissuing of targets will happen at random. To get new targets consult one of the marshals.

At the time of an assassination, the deceased may be raided for weapons and credits and will give the KAOS ID slip to the assassin to verify their death to the assassin, along with KAOS credits and weapon registration cards.

Killing Sources or Informants will not gain you any points, but you will be able to get all of their KAOS Credits . (Do not forget to also take their KAOS ID.) Killing an assigned target will earn you 2 points. (Do not forget to also take their KAOS 2002 ID.) Killing any other allowed assassin will earn you 1 KAOS point. (Do not forget to also take their KAOS 2002 ID.) Killing the special target will earn you 3 KAOS points and all of the special targets KAOS credits. (Do not forget to also take their KAOS 2002 ID.)

Reporting kills:

Any hits that would not normally be fatal in real life are still considered fatal in this game. Even if something only skims you, it is considered a kill. In the event of a death, both parties should report the kill to a marshal as soon as possible via email or at Café Nescafe . Please communicate the time, date, and location of the kill as well as comments. All kills will be posted in the obituaries.

Bomb Squad:

If you suspect that you have received a bomb, you can contact the marshal on duty and after doing so you can then safely take the package to the marshal (unopened) and she will return it to the owner at the end of the game. If you give the bomb to someone else to open and it goes off then you are responsible for the death of an innocent person, and you will go on the list of Outlaws.

Informants:

Informants are there is to give information on their targets identity to the people who pay them.It will cost you 1 KAOS credit per description.

Marshals

They are there in the same capacity as the SAPS, to maintain law and order. The marshals are Candice, Marsha, and Andrea. Candice details can be found at the RedFruitfly ? node.
